New Character Sapphire

This is my first character designed to support both Unreal Engine and Unity. It’s a relatively simple character, featuring a single hairstyle and outfit, and serves as a starting point for cross-engine releases.

Initially, I planned to publish this character on the Unity Asset Store first. However, after submitting the package on January 14, it has been in the review queue for about two weeks and is currently around #843 in line. Based on the current review pace (roughly 100 submissions per day), it may still take another one to two weeks before it gets reviewed.

Because of this, I decided to publish the character on FAB first. The approval process there was surprisingly fast, with the character reviewed and approved within a single day. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency.

**Download & file access**
  • If you purchase the character on FAB, you’ll be able to download the Unity package directly from there.
  • Once the character is approved on the Unity Asset Store, Unity’s doesn’t support upload of additional files like FAB. In that case, buyers will receive access to the Unreal package via Gumroad (https://rabbitheart.gumroad.com/l/sapphire).
  • The Gumroad asset also includes Substance Painter source files, and I plan to add cross-character assets in the future.

Update to ActorCore Retarget Poses

I recently discovered that ActorCore has updated their skeletal meshes, and I am in the process of updating the retarget poses.

Fix Base Skeleton

Shenya (and ShaoLei)

Fixed an important issue in the skeleton. When viewed from the orthographic top view, the left and right arms were actually not symmetrical, I somehow overlooked this mistake for a long time.

This affected all my characters except Meryl.
